RutaNord - A Story of Woman Power

RutaNord was born from one woman's determination to create change. When Yuliya Anokhina moved from Ukraine to Norway in 2015, she missed the taste of home. Finding familiar ingredients was nearly impossible – she often had to travel hundreds of kilometers just to cook a traditional meal.

In 2019, Yuliya made a bold move: she bought her own fishing boat and became a licensed industrial fisher. Leaving behind a job as a waitress, she entered one of Norway's most male-dominated industries – and she thrived. Her goal was clear: to master tradition and create something meaningful.

In 2021, she founded RutaNord – a small store offering food from Eastern Europe, Asia, and Norway. But Yuliya went further. Using her firsthand experience from the sea, she developed RutaNord's signature product: ready-to-eat, shell-free, high-quality king crab meat. No waste, no additives – just pure taste and Nordic excellence.

Soon after, she opened a restaurant that drew visitors from across Europe. Listening to customer feedback, Yuliya turned a simple dining experience into innovation.

Along the way, she built a passionate, multicultural team – a group of women and men who share her commitment to quality, sustainability, and hospitality. Together, they’ve grown RutaNord into more than just a business – it’s a place of connection, identity, and community.

This is not just a company – it is a story of woman power, resilience, and vision. But it's also a story of collaboration – where Yuliya's leadership is amplified by a dedicated team that brings her vision to life every day.
